Mission and Vision
Trinity Oaks is a network of volunteers and premier properties that exclusively use hunting, fishing, and outdoor experiences as a humanitarian lever and platform to fundamentally change, heal, and make a difference in the lives of others.
Description
Trinity Oaks is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization founded on the premise that active participation in the outdoors is a powerful, healing, and fundamentally life-changing experience. Trinity Oaks’ mission is to use hunting, fishing and outdoor activities to give back and make a meaningful difference on the lives of others. For decades, we have known of the philosophical shift that outdoor activities cause within those who participate in them and how that profoundly impacts the wellness of our society. Since 2007, we have impacted tens of thousands of people who otherwise would not be able to afford the experience of the outdoors.
On an annual basis, Trinity Oaks is able to offer more than 100 events for people who can benefit from once-in-a-lifetime hunting or fishing experiences. Our outdoor programs support Purple Heart and combat veterans, families suffering through the terminal illness of one of their members, special needs children, and underprivileged youth who lack proper mentorship. Monthly, we also process and distribute over 100,000 pounds of game meat to address food insecurity and hunger in Texas.
Every year we provide programming for more than 2,000+ youth and families, 1,500+ military veterans, and hundreds more, while processing tens of thousands of pounds of game meat for homeless shelters and food pantries throughout Texas. By supporting Trinity Oaks, you are personally teaching impoverished youth how to properly handle and respect firearms and hunt for quail and larger game, giving dream hunts to full the last wishes of terminally ill, and creating venues for outdoor events our brave wounded and live combat veterans, and offering programming to those most in need of the solace of wild places, compassionate comradely, and uplift of spirit.
Heroes Celebrations
Combat Veterans & First Responders
Trinity Oaks dedicates our Heroes Celebrations to humbly serving and sharing our appreciation for the brave men and women who protect our American way of life. Our outdoor program for Heroes focuses on combat veterans of all generations and first responders. We understand that healing internal and external injuries and the promotion of general well-being is a process made more accessible by spending time outdoors.
Youth Programs
For Ages 10-16
Trinity Oaks believes that with the support of education, proper initiation, and mentorship of our youth, we must teach the cultural and aesthetic pleasures of our hunting and fishing culture. Our specialized outdoor programs include day events as well as multi-day hunting and fishing experiences. Our innovative H2O Outdoor Adventure provides a full day outdoors sampling activities ranging from safely handling and shooting firearms, outdoor survival skills, wild game cooking, angling, and more! Additionally, our unique Starkids program is the mentorship of children of fallen combat veterans and first responders through outdoor activities like hunting and fishing.
