Mission and Vision
Our mission is to promote healthy aging through lifelong learning, active lifestyles and volunteer engagement.
OASIS is a national education organization dedicated to enriching the lives of adults age 50 and over. San Antonio OASIS began in 1992 and currently has over 26,000 members. Membership to OASIS is free. You can join OASIS by registering at the Oasis Center, by phone or online. Oasis is open to all people 50 years of age and older regardless of income, gender, race, religion or background. A catalog comes out three times a year with over 500 classes; some offered at no cost; some at a nominal fee.

San Antonio OASIS offers stimulating programs in the arts, humanities, consumer interest, health, technology and volunteer service. Over 1,000 classes and multiple travel opportunities are offered per year. Available volunteer opportunities include the Intergenerational Tutoring Program, Silver Connect, Person to Person, computer instructors and clerical help at the Oasis Center.
