Mission: We are a non-profit organization that exists to Educate our community on domestic violence and abuse and Empower and Embrace survivors.
Vision: Our vision is to help restore hope to women and their children by working with the community and our partners to best assess their needs once they leave their abuser. Ensuring they are worthy of love and respect and helping them to build their self-esteem, we believe our programs, Love UnMasked, Beauty UnMasked, Dreams UnMasked, and Restoration UnMasked will bring a crucial transformation in the lives we touch.
Description
Our goal is to help restore hope to women and children by working with the community and our partners to best assess their needs. Ensuring they are worthy of love and respect and helping them to build their self-esteem, we believe our programs will be a crucial movement in the lives we touch.
LBD-RESTORATION UnMasked: A community outreach program which selects one survivor of domestic violence and/or abuse semi-annually to receive assistance through an application selection process. Applications for the Restoration UnMasked program are due by April and September each year.
Various needs may include: Clothing, Furniture/Household Needs, Dental Care, Eyewear, Transportation, Phone, Groceries, Computers, Gas Cards, Housing, and additional requests are also considered.
Also throughout the year women may apply for short-term emergency help like grocery, clothing, and gas gift cards donated by our supporters.
BEAUTY UnMasked: An outreach program designed for survivors. This program will help women understand emotional beauty which leads to positive self-worth, physical beauty which leads to eating healthy and exercise, and spiritual beauty that leads to the inner qualities of being a woman of God’s design.
Volunteers do makeovers, seminars/workshops on self-esteem, healthy eating and exercise, and assist women with wardrobes for the workplace.
By supporting survivors and embracing them through their personal journey of restoration, we believe that will empower them to move forward and find strength to Love, Believe, and Dream again.
DREAMS UnMasked: Our mission is to help survivors Unmask their dreams who have been impacted by severe hardship. Through the LBDS DREAM FUND we hope to provide opportunities for survivors to further their education through scholarship opportunities as well as work with partners to assist women in acquiring the training they need to get back into the workplace or start their own business.
