Who We Are
Our founders know the pain of losing a child by suicide because their son, Brandon James Myhre, committed suicide on May 23, 2017. He was "live-life-to-the-fullest" type of person, and he always reached out to people and wanted to help them. His parents felt like the best way to honor Brandon was to continue his mission to help others.

The death of a child by suicide is one of the worst things that can happen to parents. Understandably, they have to deal with grief along with confusion. If you or someone you know may be contemplating suicide, The Brandon James Myhre Foundation, Inc. of Boerne, Texas, can help.

Our suicide prevention nonprofit organization also focuses on suicide awareness. We plan to increase awareness by producing a documentary and sending speakers into schools, churches, and other organizations. Additionally, we want to host roundtable discussions where young people have the opportunity to talk about issues with a mediator.

Perhaps more than anything, we want troubled young people to know that there are constructive ways to overcome all types of obstacles. We want to encourage them to communicate and reach out to adults if they need to talk to someone.
